Basic Articles
An attempt was made to provide to users of this website with peer–reviewed articles by qualified professionals that were “readable”, potentially useful, valid and accurate related to the issues of child abuse and children with disabilities.
Although there are a limited number of these materials available, they do exist, but it is oftentimes impossible to quickly find them given that they are in more academic libraries or journals.
Project staff were able to locate a number of these articles that were appropriate for this type of format, and copyright permission was obtained in order to include the full text of 16 of these articles (with summaries added), which can either be read on this website or downloaded as print copies.
In this section of “Where to Begin”, 4 articles have been identified as BASIC ARTICLES (must reads). Continue to the articles here.
All of the articles with summaries can be found in the RESOURCES section of this website.
