Additional Resources / Links

The intent of this website is to provide a solid base for understanding the issues of children and youth with disabilities as related to child abuse. It's goal is NOT to duplicate efforts, but to identify critical resources and exceptional materials that can add to the information a professional should have at his/her fingertips.

Therefore, a decision was made not to include everything that is out there, but a targeted approach, including materials and links that are:

  • EASY TO USE
  • VALID REPRESENTATION of the work
    being done throughout the country.

Rather than to overwhelm, the goal was to assist in identifying key resources that are easily available at this time. The materials and links listed in this section, therefore, have all been critically reviewed keeping this criteria in mind. They are also all “keyed” to the various sections of the website.

Although it was not possible to receive full-text permission for these materials, all of the materials and links listed are available and updated on a regular basis (i.e. websites). At a minimum, if professionals further explore this work, they will have at their fingertips a wealth of information that can serve them well.
